Allen + Roth Gazebos and Pergolas
Soft-top gazebos and pergolas. The canopy is a wear part, and finding a replacement is the single most common Allen + Roth ownership problem.
Prices and stock are live at Lowe’s. We do not sell anything.

The canopy is the part that fails. Frames outlast tops by years, so the job usually comes down to one question: which of the two Allen + Roth gazebo lines is it?
Allen + Roth Gazebo Models and Sizes
- Roughly 2012 to 2016: GF-12S004B, GF-12S004B-1 and TPGAZ17-002. Lowe’s SKUs 355094 and 510327.
- Roughly 2021 to 2025: the TPGAZ2303 and TPGAZ2403 series. Both series run to several variants, so read the full model number off the label.
- Both lines measure 10 feet by 12 feet. Their canopies do not interchange.
How to Identify Your Model
Measure the frame, not the old canopy. Old fabric shrinks, stretches and tears, so by the time you replace it its dimensions are unreliable. Take four notes off the gazebo itself:
- Frame shape and measured dimensions, taken off the metal
- Single-tier or dual-tier roof
- Whether the canopy attaches by corner pockets or by Velcro
- Anything legible on a surviving label
Measure post to post along the metal, on both axes. Photograph a corner close up so the attachment method shows, then shoot the whole roof against the sky.
Garden Winds identifies models from those photographs for free. Text them to 707-800-4992, or call (877) 479-4637. Do that before you buy.
What to Check Before You Buy
- A model number or a photo match. Never the 10 by 12 dimension on its own.
- Fabric grade. Standard is 350 denier polyester. RipLock 350 and RipLock 500 sit above it, with gridlines sewn in so a tear stops at the nearest gridline instead of running the length of the panel. Denier is yarn weight, so a higher number means heavier fabric and more shade, not automatically a better fit.
- Canopies are sold as a retail item, not a service part. The documented parts channel (1-866-439-9800) covers hardware only: bolts, butterfly screw, bolt nut, hex wrench, wrench and washer, part numbers S36 to S40 and S48 to S50. The canopy fabric is not on that list.
- No length of canopy availability is documented. Once the top for your model leaves the site, that route is finished. See discontinued lines.
How to Measure Your Space
A 10 by 12 gazebo needs more than 10 by 12 of ground, because you stand outside the frame to lift the roof on. Check four things:
- Ground: mark out 10ft by 12ft with string, then measure both diagonals. They should match. If they do not, your corners are not square.
- Level: run a long level or a straight board across the area. A slope means the legs will not seat evenly and the roof will sit twisted.
- Overhead: branches, gutters, eaves and cables above the peak. A dual-tier roof needs more headroom than the leg height suggests.
- Furniture: lay out the table and chairs you intend to put under it. Chair pull-out room gets underestimated.
Where to Put a Gazebo and How to Anchor It
Put it where the wind is broken, not where the view is best. A fence line, a house wall or a hedge on the prevailing side takes load out of the frame. An open lawn corner is the worst place you can pick.
Anchoring depends on what is underneath. On a deck, fix into a joist; screws into decking boards alone pull out. On a patio, use masonry anchors into the slab. On grass, stakes alone are a compromise, so add weight plates or sandbags at the legs.
How to Assemble a Gazebo and Fit the Canopy
Assembly is a two-person job, and the roof stage is easier with three. Build the frame with every bolt started but nothing torqued, then square it up and tighten. Tightening as you go is why the last corner holes refuse to line up.
Fit the canopy on a warm, still day. Polyester is more forgiving warm, and cold fabric feels a size too small. Never fit a top in wind: half-attached fabric catches gusts.
Common Gazebo Canopy Problems
The mistake that costs money is buying on footprint. A canopy sold as 10 by 12 can still land its corner pockets in the wrong place or miss the attachment points entirely.
The manual tells you to remove the canopy during high winds, heavy rain or snow. It is fiddly and it gets skipped. A soft top on a light frame acts as a sail, and those loads go into the seams, the pockets and the welds.
That instruction has teeth: storm damage to a canopy left up is damage from use contrary to the instructions, which the warranty excludes. The other recurring failure is pooling. A top that is not tensioned at the corners collects rain in a low spot, and the weight stretches the panel until it holds more.
Gazebo Maintenance and Long Term Ownership
The frame and the top have separate lifespans. The canopy is a consumable, so read the price of the gazebo as the price of the frame and budget for replacement tops, much as elsewhere in the range.
Two habits save you later. Write your model number inside a leg with a marker, because the tag is the first thing to go. And photograph the frame corners while the original top is still on, so you have a reference for the attachment method.
Allen + Roth Gazebos and Pergolas Questions
Will Any 10 by 12 Canopy Fit My Allen + Roth Gazebo?
No. Allen + Roth soft-top gazebos have been sold in at least two distinct lines that both measure 10 feet by 12 feet, and their canopies do not interchange. The older line runs roughly 2012 to 2016 (models GF-12S004B, GF-12S004B-1 and TPGAZ17-002, under Lowe’s SKUs 355094 and 510327). The newer line runs roughly 2021 to 2025 (the TPGAZ2303 and TPGAZ2403 series). Matching the footprint tells you nothing about fitment. Confirm against a model number or a photograph of your actual frame.
How Do I Identify Which Allen + Roth Gazebo I Have?
Gazebo makers rarely stamp a model number on the frame, so once the tag and manual are gone you work from evidence. Measure the frame itself, not the old canopy, because old fabric shrinks, stretches and tears and its dimensions are unreliable. Note the frame shape and measured dimensions, whether the roof is single-tier or dual-tier, and whether the canopy attaches by corner pockets or by Velcro. Garden Winds identifies models from photographs for free using a human: text photos of the frame to 707-800-4992, or email customerservice@gardenwinds.com. Their general line is (877) 479-4637.
What Is the Warranty on an Allen + Roth Gazebo?
The gazebo documents give one year on frames and welds and one year on fabric. Coverage is limited to the original purchaser and is not transferable, and it excludes damage caused by use contrary to the instructions. That exclusion matters more here than in most categories, because the manual instructs you to remove the canopy during high winds, heavy rain or snow, and storm damage to a canopy that was left up is use contrary to the instructions. There is no single brand-wide Allen + Roth warranty, so terms are set per category and often per item.
Who Sells Replacement Canopies for Allen + Roth Gazebos?
Lowe’s sells replacement canopies on lowes.com, including Garden Winds and LUXEYARD tops for Allen + Roth gazebos. Garden Winds, APEX GARDEN, MasterCanopy, ALISUN, Flynama, LUXEYARD and Gazebo Parts Direct also sell replacement tops under their own brands, referencing the models they fit. These are aftermarket goods rather than OEM parts. None of these brands is a licensee of, or authorised by, Lowe’s, and Garden Winds states this in its own disclaimer. The thing to check is fitment.
Where Do I Get a Replacement Canopy Versus Replacement Parts?
Lowe’s splits these into two channels. The manual states it verbatim: replacement canopies are available for purchase at www.Lowes.com, and for replacement parts you call customer service on 1-866-439-9800. The manual’s Replacement Parts List covers hardware only (short, medium and long bolts, butterfly screw, bolt nut, hex wrench, wrench and washer, part numbers S36 to S40 and S48 to S50). The canopy fabric is not on that list. Email for parts is PartsPlus@Lowes.com, and general service is ascs@lowes.com.
