About Allen + Roth

Who owns the brand, who makes it, where to buy it, and what this site is for.

What Is Allen + Roth?

Allen + Roth is Lowe’s own home brand. Lowe’s owns the name and hires other companies to build the products, then sells them in its stores. You will not find it anywhere else in the US.

It covers most of the house: bathroom vanities, patio furniture, lighting, blinds and shades, closet systems, faucets, rugs, flooring, gazebos and electric fireplaces.

Who Owns Allen + Roth?

Lowe’s. The trademark is registered to LF, LLC, a company listed at Lowe’s head office at 1000 Lowe’s Boulevard, Mooresville, North Carolina. Lowe’s annual report says one of its wholly owned subsidiaries owns its private brand names, listing allen+roth alongside Kobalt and STAINMASTER.

There is no Allen + Roth company, factory or head office. It is a name on products, which is the normal way a retailer runs a house brand.

Who Makes Allen + Roth Products?

Different companies make different ranges, and the warranty documents show it. Each one names a different warrantor:

  • American Woodmark warrants the cabinetry
  • Clarion Laminates warrants laminate flooring
  • Sage Surfaces and Dal-Tile warrant different countertops
  • Whalen Furniture supplies the closet kits

Lowe’s does not publish a full supplier list, and suppliers change over time. That is the practical reason quality and warranty vary so much between ranges, and why how good it is depends on what you are holding.

When Did Allen + Roth Start?

There is no published date. The earliest trademark application was filed in November 2005 on an intent-to-use basis, which states the name was not yet in use. The marks registered in 2010, and the brand first appears in a Lowe’s annual report covering fiscal 2010. So somewhere around 2009 or 2010, though that is an inference from the filings rather than a published fact.

Where to Buy Allen + Roth

Lowe’s, in store or on lowes.com. That is the authorised seller and the one that handles the warranty. In Canada, RONA carries it, and RONA has not been part of Lowe’s since February 2023.

There is no way to buy direct from the brand. The one narrow exception is free cabinet colour samples, which American Woodmark will send from allenandrothcabinetry.com. The cabinets themselves go through Lowe’s.

You will also see Allen + Roth on Amazon and eBay. Those listings come from other sellers, often from liquidated Lowe’s stock sold in pallet lots. The goods are usually genuine, but you are not the first buyer, and Allen + Roth warranties cover only the first buyer. For anything Lowe’s still stocks, buy it from Lowe’s.

The exception is parts for discontinued products, where Lowe’s no longer stocks what you need and the aftermarket genuinely is the answer. That is covered on the replacement parts page.

About This Site

allenroths.com is an independent guide. We publish what the ranges are, what each warranty covers, how to find parts for older products, and where to buy. We do not sell anything.

Warranty and parts information comes from the product documents Lowe’s publishes at pdf.lowes.com. Ownership facts come from USPTO records and Lowe’s SEC filings. Quality assessments draw on CPSC recall records and what owners report publicly, which are individual experiences rather than representative data.
